When the weather warms up, it's time for the Free Speech machine to hit the town.
Monday, May 4th, the Free Speech machine will be asking attendees of bushcon to speak their unvarnished truth!
bushcon is a gathering of regional community leaders from across all disciplines, so there's sure to be some interesting speech to be heard. And we'll be debuting some new additions to the FSM itself.
Live attendance is limited to registered participants, but we'll post photos along with the recordings.
Free Speech Machine, along with several other projects, is there at the invitation of Springboard for the Arts to represent Ready Go, a new initiative of Springboard to connect non-profits, businesses and organizations with artist-designed projects that bring people together in conversation.

The Free Speech Machine was out at Play on Penn again last Friday, but without the barker, not as many people got up to speak their minds. Only two more Fridays to let people know what you're thinking about. Use your chance to give some feedback about what you'd like to see on Penn Avenue N in Minneapolis.
And our singers were back again:

The Free Speech Machine was at "Play on Penn" at the corner of Penn Ave N and W. Broadway Ave this past Friday. We had some very enthusiastic participants - have a listen to what they had to say.
And now for the musical portion of the evening:
The FSM will be back every Friday in August starting at 7pm. "Play on Penn" is an activity of FLOW Northside Art Crawl

The Free Speech Surrogate offers participants the chance to say what’s on their mind without the risk of reprisal. Liberty personified will read public announcements supplied by passersby and Internet submissions. Announcements happen twice daily on September 1st and 2nd at 12 noon and 5pm. Look for the woman in the flowing Greek robes and red Phrygian cap.

We're getting the FSM dusted off and oiled up for a busy summer.
Look for the FSM at the Translating Politics show at the Third Floor Gallery in the Northrup King Building, 1500 Jackson St. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413
The show runs from 1-9pm September 1st-4th, with special receptions every evening from 5-9.
The FSM will also be part of the American Politics Sideshow taking place at the Weisman Art Musuem on September 4th. The sideshow runs from 10am-8pm. The FSM will be there from 11am-1pm. The Weisman is located on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus at 333 E. River Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55455
Both these events at part of the Unconvention, so there should be a great turnout and lots of new audio for the blog.
